Fill knowledge gaps

RagChat keeps track of the questions it could not answer confidently, so you can fill in the missing knowledge instead of guessing what shoppers need.

How gaps work

When the AI answers with low confidence, it records the question as a gap. Similar questions are grouped together, so "where's my package" and "when will my order arrive" count as one gap.

Review and fix gaps

  1. Open RagChat and go to Knowledge base → Gaps.
  2. Gaps are ranked by how often shoppers ask, with the most common first. Each one shows how many times it was asked, when it was last asked, and the AI's confidence.
  3. For each gap, choose one of two actions:
    • Write answer: type the correct answer. It is saved to your knowledge, and the AI can answer that question from now on.
    • Dismiss: remove the gap if it is not worth answering (spam, off-topic questions, and so on).

Checking the Gaps tab once a week is an easy way to keep improving your AI with almost no effort. Every gap you answer is one fewer conversation that needs you.
