Only 10,000 items were edited

Troubleshooting · Updated Oct 9, 2026

Edify edits up to 10,000 items per task. If more items match your filters, the extra items are skipped. The Preview panel shows a banner when you're over the limit.

Fix it

Split the job into smaller tasks, each matching 10,000 items or fewer:

  1. In Bulk Edit, add a condition that splits your catalog, for example a Collection, a Vendor, or a Price is between range. Keep the toggle on AND so the new condition narrows the match. OR would widen it.
  2. Check that the Preview count is under 10,000. A count that starts with ~, such as ~10000 matching, means 10,000 or more items match.
  3. Run the task.
  4. Change the condition to cover the next group and run again.

With Variants selected, you can split by any filter, such as Collection, Price is between, Vendor, or SKU starts with. Keep AND if you split by Price, because Price can't be combined with OR in Variants mode. The same goes for Option name and Option value filters in Products mode, which can't be combined with OR either.

Be careful when re-running

Don't re-run the same task to catch the skipped items. It would match the same items again first. That's harmless for Set to value or Set status, but Increase by %, Add text to end, and similar actions would be applied twice. Use separate filters for each group instead.
