Does Optionize work with my theme?

Optionize works with any Online Store 2.0 theme, which includes every free Shopify theme and virtually all modern paid themes.

The app integrates through Shopify's standard theme extension system:

an app embed (required) that renders the options on product pages
an optional Options app block you can place anywhere in the theme editor

No code is added to your theme files, and uninstalling the app leaves your theme untouched.

Older or heavily customized themes

If your theme is a legacy (vintage) theme without app embed support, or is heavily customized, the options may not render or may appear in the wrong spot. The app's Settings include selector overrides (placement, price, add to cart button) that solve most compatibility quirks; see Customize the widget with settings, CSS, and JavaScript.
