Change the app language
The WiseReviews admin is available in eight languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, and Japanese. Google Translate is no longer used inside the app.
How the language is chosen
By default, WiseReviews follows your Shopify admin language. If that language is one of the eight supported ones, the app opens in it on first load.
You can also pick a language yourself. That choice is saved in your browser and overrides the Shopify admin language until you change it.
Steps
- Open WiseReviews and go to Settings.
- In the Language section, open the language dropdown.
- Pick your language. The change applies immediately.
If you use a different browser or computer, set the language there too (it is stored in that browser only).
What this does and does not change
This only changes the WiseReviews admin interface (pages, buttons, and settings labels).
It does not translate:
- Review text on your storefront (use Translate reviews for that)
- Widget layout and storefront copy (see Customize the review widgets)
