What happens when you downgrade your plan

Billing & Plans · Updated Jul 17, 2026

Thinking of moving to a lower plan? Here's exactly what changes, and what doesn't. The short version: nothing is ever deleted.

Your reviews are kept, some may be hidden

Each plan has a published-reviews limit: 100 on Free, 50,000 on Standard, unlimited on Plus. If you have more published reviews than the new plan allows, your oldest reviews are unpublished until you're within the limit.

  • Unpublished reviews are hidden from your storefront, not deleted.
  • Featured reviews stay visible.
  • You can manually republish any review later, or swap which ones are published, from the Reviews page.

The downgrade confirmation shows you exactly how many reviews would be hidden before you confirm.

Other changes on downgrade

  • Automatically sync new reviews: synced URLs are paused when you move to the Free plan. Upgrading again lets you resume them.
  • Widget watermark: on the Free plan, a small "Powered by WiseReviews" line appears on the Product Reviews widget and on Featured Reviews cards.
  • Monthly allowances: translations, review requests, and magic replies drop to the new plan's limits.
  • Plus-only features: bulk import from multiple URLs and sending emails from your own domain stop working on lower plans.
