A product is missing from the product picker

If a product from your store is not listed when you go to pick one, check your search and Shopify first. The product picker reads your catalog from Shopify as you type, so you do not need a separate sync step.

This most often happens when the search term does not match the Shopify title, or a filter is hiding the product.

Search and filter

  1. In WiseReviews, go to Reviews and click Import reviews (or open the picker from Create review / Assign to product).
  2. Click Pick a product (or Change product, if one is already selected) to open the Product picker.
  3. Type part of the product title in the search box. Results come from Shopify live, with more pages loading as you scroll.
  4. Check the filter at the top of the picker:
    • All products shows matching products from your Shopify catalog.
    • Products with reviews and Products without reviews narrow to products WiseReviews already knows about from reviews or sync URLs.
  5. Select the product and continue.

There is no Sync products button. New products in Shopify show up in All products as soon as Shopify has them.

If the product still is not there

  • Try a shorter or different search. Search matches the product title in Shopify.
  • Set the filter to All products. A With reviews or Without reviews filter can hide a brand-new product that has never been used in WiseReviews yet.
  • Confirm the product exists in Shopify. Open the product in your Shopify admin and copy the title to search again. If you deleted the product in Shopify, it will not appear in the picker. Reviews that belonged to a deleted product stay in WiseReviews as unpublished and show as Deleted product on the Reviews list. See Manage your reviews.

"The product handle is invalid" during a CSV import

The Product handle in your CSV must match a product that exists in Shopify (the last part of the product URL, like blue-t-shirt). Fix the handle in the spreadsheet and import again. See Import and export reviews via CSV.
