Customize the review request email
Make the review request email look and sound like your brand. The subject is set in the review requests settings, and the email body is edited in a visual drag-and-drop editor.
Edit the subject
- Go to Settings, then under Review requests click Go to settings.
- Change the Subject field and click Save.
Edit the email design
- On the same settings page, click Customize email. This opens the Email editor.
- Drag blocks (text, images, buttons) to build your layout, and click any element to edit it.
- Click Save when you're done.
Personalize with merge tags
When editing a text block you can insert merge tags. They are replaced with real values for each customer:
| Merge tag | Becomes |

| Customer Name | The customer's name |
| Shop Name | Your store's name |
| Products | A repeating section with each purchased product's name, image, and link |
Inside the Products section, the product link points to that product's page on your storefront, where the customer writes their review.
Preview and test
Back on the review requests settings page:
- The Preview card shows a live rendering of your email. Click Refresh after saving changes in the editor.
- Click Send a test email, enter an Email address, and click Send email to receive a real copy in your inbox.
