Import reviews from AliExpress and other marketplaces

Import existing reviews from marketplaces like AliExpress into your store in a few clicks. Paste a product URL, choose your options, and WiseReviews pulls the reviews in for you.

Supported sources

You can import from: 1688, AliExpress, Alibaba, Amazon, CJdropshipping, DHgate, eBay, Etsy, HktvMall, Lazada, Shein, Shop App, Shopee, Temu, Tokopedia, Walmart, and Wish.

Four of these (Amazon, Shopee, Shein, and Temu) are CAPTCHA-protected and cannot be imported by URL. Use the WiseReviews Chrome extension for those instead.

DHgate uses the normal product URL import (no Chrome extension). Filters include star ratings and With media. Review photos import when they are available on the listing. DHgate also works in Multiple URL (CSV) import and auto-sync. See "Import from DHgate" below.

Walmart uses the normal product URL import (no Chrome extension). Only walmart.com product links are supported; walmart.ca and walmart.com.mx links are rejected. Photos import when they are available. Reviewer avatars are not available on Walmart, so they are not imported. The source label shows as Walmart. Walmart also works in Multiple URL (CSV) import and auto-sync. See "Import from Walmart" below.

Alibaba uses the normal product URL import (no Chrome extension). Paste an alibaba.com product link. Filters include star ratings and With media. Photos import when they are available. Reviewer profile images are not available from Alibaba. The source label shows as Alibaba. Alibaba also works in Multiple URL (CSV) import and auto-sync. See "Import from Alibaba" below.

1688 uses the normal product URL import (no Chrome extension). Paste a 1688.com offer link. Filters include star ratings and With media. Photos import when they are available. Reviewer profile images are not available from 1688. Review text is often in Chinese; you can translate reviews after import. The source label shows as 1688. 1688 also works in Multiple URL (CSV) import and auto-sync. See "Import from 1688" below.

For eBay you can paste either a product link or a store link. A store link brings in the seller's feedback across all their listings (see "Import a whole eBay store's feedback" below).

For Shop App, paste a shop.app product link (see "Import from Shop App" below). Photos and any public merchant reply come along with the review.

Import from a product URL

In WiseReviews, go to Reviews and click Import reviews.
Choose the review type: Product reviews (reviews for one or more of your products) or Shop reviews (reviews for your shop as a whole).
For product reviews, click Pick products and select up to 5 products in your store that should receive the reviews. Picked products appear as removable tags. The footer shows how many you have selected, like 2/5 products selected. After you pick some, the button reads Change products. If a product is not in the list, see A product is missing from the product picker.
Paste the marketplace product page link into Product URL. Validation can take up to 60 seconds.
Pick your options:
- Filter reviews: import all reviews or only a specific star rating. Some sources add extra filters like With media. This filter requires a paid plan.
- Number of reviews: drag the slider to set how many reviews to import.
- Reviewer name format: show names exactly as on the source, show only the first and last letter (like A******s), or replace every name with Anonymous.
- Automatically sync new reviews: keep pulling in new reviews from this URL automatically (Standard and Plus plans). See Automatically sync new reviews.
- Import reviewer profile image: checked by default.
- Skip already imported reviews: tick this when re-importing from a URL you've used before, so duplicates are left out.
Confirm I have permission to use these reviews is ticked, then click Import.

When you pick more than one product, imported reviews land on the first product right away. The rest are linked when the import batch finishes. Auto-sync remembers every product you picked, so new synced reviews land on all of them.

If the link has no reviews yet:

A one-time import of zero reviews is still refused. The modal will not start an empty import.
On Standard or Plus, the modal asks you to tick Automatically sync new reviews. With that ticked, the button becomes Save auto-sync. That saves the URL as a Pending sync (with no empty attempts counted yet) so WiseReviews can pull reviews in when the listing gets some. The usual three-empty pause rule still applies later. See Automatically sync new reviews.
Extension-only sources (Amazon, Shopee, Shein, and Temu) cannot be saved this way. Use the Chrome extension when those listings have reviews.

The modal closes and an Importing reviews progress bar appears on the Reviews page. You can keep working while it runs, or click Stop import to cancel. When it finishes successfully you'll see "Reviews have been successfully imported." That success message only appears when reviews were actually imported.

If the import fails, times out, finds no reviews, or only partly finishes, a banner on the Reviews page explains what happened and offers a next step, such as Retry (reopens the modal with your URL filled in), Use Chrome extension, Upload CSV, or Contact support. The banner stays until you dismiss it.

After a successful import settles, WiseReviews checks your published theme:

If the review widgets are not live yet, the Install review widget installer opens so you can put them on your storefront next. See Install the review widgets on your store.
If the widgets are already installed and the import brought in reviews, you may see Shopify's App Store review prompt instead.

Import from DHgate

DHgate is a server-side URL import. You do not need the Chrome extension.

Go to Reviews and click Import reviews.
Choose Product reviews, click Pick products, and select up to 5 products in your store that should receive the reviews.
Paste the DHgate product link into Product URL. It looks like https://www.dhgate.com/product/.../...html.
Set your options as usual. Filter reviews can be all ratings, a specific star rating, or With media. Photos import when the listing has them.
Tick I have permission to use these reviews, then click Import.

On the Plus plan, you can also add DHgate rows in Multiple URL import. Use DHgate as the source. Auto-sync works for DHgate URLs on Standard and Plus.

Import from Walmart

Walmart is a server-side URL import. You do not need the Chrome extension.

Go to Reviews and click Import reviews.
Choose Product reviews, click Pick products, and select up to 5 products in your store that should receive the reviews.
Paste the Walmart product link into Product URL. It looks like https://www.walmart.com/ip/product-name/123456789.
Use a walmart.com link only. Links from walmart.ca or walmart.com.mx are rejected, because each storefront numbers products separately.
Set your options as usual. Filter reviews can be all ratings or a specific star rating (there is no With media filter for Walmart). Photos import when the listing has them. Reviewer profile images are not available from Walmart.
Tick I have permission to use these reviews, then click Import.

Imported reviews show Walmart as the source.

On the Plus plan, you can also add Walmart rows in Multiple URL import. Use Walmart as the source. Auto-sync works for Walmart URLs on Standard and Plus.

Import from Alibaba

Alibaba is a server-side URL import. You do not need the Chrome extension.

Go to Reviews and click Import reviews.
Choose Product reviews, click Pick products, and select up to 5 products in your store that should receive the reviews.
Paste the Alibaba product link into Product URL. It looks like https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Product-Name_1600854699563.html. Mobile links such as https://m.alibaba.com/product/1600854699563/... also work.
Set your options as usual. Filter reviews can be all ratings, a specific star rating, or With media. Photos import when the listing has them. Reviewer profile images are not available from Alibaba.
Tick I have permission to use these reviews, then click Import.

Imported reviews show Alibaba as the source.

On the Plus plan, you can also add Alibaba rows in Multiple URL import. Use Alibaba as the source. Auto-sync works for Alibaba URLs on Standard and Plus.

Import from 1688

1688 is a server-side URL import. You do not need the Chrome extension.

Go to Reviews and click Import reviews.
Choose Product reviews, click Pick products, and select up to 5 products in your store that should receive the reviews.
Paste the 1688 offer link into Product URL. It looks like https://detail.1688.com/offer/954813017837.html.
Set your options as usual. Filter reviews can be all ratings, a specific star rating, or With media. Photos import when the listing has them. Reviewer profile images are not available from 1688.
Tick I have permission to use these reviews, then click Import.

Imported reviews show 1688 as the source. Review text is often in Chinese. After import, you can translate reviews if you need them in another language. Automatic system reviews (placeholders with no real buyer text) are skipped, so you only get reviews buyers actually wrote.

On the Plus plan, you can also add 1688 rows in Multiple URL import. Use 1688 as the source. Auto-sync works for 1688 URLs on Standard and Plus.

Import a whole eBay store's feedback

eBay sellers build up feedback across their whole store, not just on one listing. To bring all of it in, paste the store link instead of a product link.

Go to Reviews and click Import reviews.
Paste the eBay store link into Product URL. It looks like https://www.ebay.com/str/thesellersname.
The review type switches to Shop reviews by itself, so there is no product to pick. The feedback comes in as reviews for your shop as a whole.
Set the rest of your options as usual, tick I have permission to use these reviews, and click Import.

eBay's own automated feedback is left out (those are the identical entries reading "Order delivered on time with no issues"), so you get only what buyers actually wrote. Older feedback that eBay labels "More than a year ago" imports normally.

If you see "Unable to find feedback for this eBay store", the name in the store link is not the seller's eBay username. Check the seller's feedback page for the right username, or import from one of their product links instead.

Import from Shop App

Shop App (shop.app) is Shopify's shopping app. Reviews left there live on shop.app product pages, and you can import them by URL.

Go to Reviews and click Import reviews.
Choose Product reviews, click Pick products, and select up to 5 products in your store that should receive the reviews.
Paste the Shop App product link into Product URL. It looks like https://shop.app/products/123456/product-name.
Set the rest of your options as usual, tick I have permission to use these reviews, and click Import.

You do not need the Chrome extension for Shop App.

If you see "Shop app couldn't find reviews for this product", check the URL is a shop.app product page (with a numeric product ID in the path), not a storefront or Shopify admin link. If you see "We couldn't reach Shop right now", wait a few minutes and try again.

Import limits

How many reviews you can hold depends on your plan: 100 on Free, 50,000 on Standard, and unlimited on Plus. On Free, that 100 counts published and unpublished reviews. If you hit that hold limit, upgrade on the Plans page or delete reviews to free up room. To delete, select the reviews on the Reviews page and click Delete. See Manage your reviews.

Free shops also have a lifetime marketplace import allowance of 300. Marketplace URL imports and the Chrome extension spend it. Deleting reviews does not refund that allowance. Upgrade to Standard or Plus to keep importing with no lifetime cap.

These do not spend the lifetime allowance:

CSV uploads (they still count toward the hold limit)
Reviews customers submit on your storefront
Reviews you create yourself in WiseReviews

When either Free limit is reached, a warning banner with Upgrade plan appears on the Dashboard, the Reviews page, and in the Import reviews modal. It explains what stopped (the hold limit, the lifetime allowance, or both). On Free, the Dashboard also shows a Marketplace imports usage meter. See Plans and pricing.

Bulk import from multiple URLs (Plus plan only)

On the Plus plan you can import from up to 30 product URLs at once:

Go to Reviews, click Import reviews, and open the Multiple URL import tab.
Click Learn more to see the CSV column details and download the template.
Fill in one row per product URL. Each row sets the product, source, URL, filter, review count, name format, and sync options. In the product cell you can put up to 5 comma-separated product handles (for example blue-t-shirt,red-hoodie). For Shop App, use Shop App as the source. For DHgate, use DHgate. For Walmart, use Walmart. For Alibaba, use Alibaba. For 1688, use 1688.
Upload the file with Upload CSV file (CSV, up to 5 MB), then click Import.

Each row is validated the same way as a single URL import.

A row with reviews imports as usual.
A row whose page has no reviews and auto_sync_import set to 1 is saved as a Pending sync URL (not dropped), so auto-sync can pick up reviews later. Same paid-plan rules as Save auto-sync in the single-URL modal.
A zero-review row without auto-sync is skipped (no empty one-time import).
Sources that need the Chrome extension are skipped in this CSV path; use the Chrome extension for those. They also cannot be saved for auto-sync from this CSV.

If you need more than 30 URLs, split them into batches.

View your import history

Go to Reviews, open More actions, and click Import history. It lists your imports from the last 48 hours, with a status badge for how each import ended. Click a batch ID to see exactly which reviews came from that import.
