Copyable snippets for page builders and custom templates
new
Using PageFly, GemPages, Shogun, Replo, or a custom product template where app blocks do not show? Open the widget installer, choose Page builder or custom template, then Add widgets with a snippet to copy plain HTML for Product Reviews or Star Rating. No product ID or Liquid is needed on product pages; the app embed provides the page product.
Path: Settings → Other settings → Install review widgets → Open widget installer (or Home → Setup guide → Install review widgets → Install widgets)
Keep the WiseReviews app embed on so the snippets can load
When Free shops hit the 100-review hold or the 300 lifetime marketplace imports, WiseReviews now explains what stopped instead of a generic upgrade refusal.
A warning banner with Upgrade plan appears on the Dashboard, the Reviews page, and in the Import reviews and Import via CSV modals.
The Free Dashboard usage card shows a Marketplace imports meter. The Free plan on Plans lists the 300 lifetime marketplace imports.
CSV plan-limit refusals are no longer shown as CSV file errors; upload and import are disabled when the hold limit is already full.
The 100 hold counts published and unpublished reviews. Deleting frees hold room but never restores marketplace imports.

Fix: review request emails and marketplace import crashes
fixed
Review request and discount emails wait on a shared send rate limit instead of bursting past Resend's per-team cap, so fewer requests are lost to 429 errors.
CJdropshipping and AliExpress imports no longer crash when the source returns an error page or a non-JSON body; missing review lists fail that page cleanly, and an empty page past the last review still finishes.
The WiseReviews admin now ships in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, and Japanese (real translations, not Google Translate).
By default it follows your Shopify admin language. Override it anytime under Settings → Language.

Fix: large marketplace imports and review exports stalling
fixed
Large marketplace imports (Etsy and others) finish more reliably: one failed page no longer cancels the rest of the import, and duplicate checks stay scoped to your shop so they stay fast.
Importing the same unlinked marketplace listing into a different shop no longer silently imports nothing.
Large review and reviewer data exports stream row by row, so big exports are far less likely to fail.
Free shops can still hold up to 100 reviews at a time (deleting reviews still frees room under that cap).
Marketplace URL imports and the Chrome extension now also share a lifetime allowance of 300 imports while you are on Free. Deleting reviews does not refund it.
CSV uploads, storefront submissions, and reviews you create yourself do not spend the lifetime allowance.
Standard and Plus are unchanged (no lifetime cap).

Widget installer opens after an import when widgets are missing
improved
After an import finishes, if review widgets are not live on your published theme, the Install review widget installer opens so you can put them on your storefront next.
The old setup-guide modal that only appeared when you started from the Home page guide is gone.
The Home page Setup guide now marks steps done from real app state. You cannot tick them by hand.
Import reviews completes when you start a marketplace, CSV, or Chrome extension import.
Install review widgets completes when the app embed is on and at least one widget block is on your published theme (and can reopen if you remove them).
Customize widgets completes when you save widget settings.

Refreshed review request and notification emails
improved
Review request emails now start from a cleaner design with no externally hosted images. The rest of the WiseReviews and shopper email set has refreshed copy, consistent branding, and a plain-text version for email clients that need it.
If you customized your review request template, it stays as you left it.
#
Fix: eBay imports failing on a temporary bot check
fixed
eBay product imports now recognize the temporary bot-check page instead of treating it like a product page. WiseReviews retries the request through a different connection, and shows a clearer message if eBay is still blocking it.
#
Fix: Autopublish and other settings reverting after a reload
fixed
Editing Autopublish (or other settings) and reloading could put the old values back, so a later Save stored the previous choices. 4-star and 5-star Autopublish turning themselves back on was the reported case.
Settings pages now keep your in-progress edits. Turning every Autopublish rating off stays off.

Fix: bulk actions on the duplicate filter affected every review
fixed
Searching !duplicate, selecting all, and running Delete (or any other bulk action) applied to every review in the shop instead of the ones listed. Bulk actions now only touch the reviews that match your filters.
The count above the review list is now the true number of matching reviews, and Select all names that exact number instead of showing a rounded "25+".
Deleting every matching review now asks you to type that number to confirm.
The !duplicate list shows only the redundant copies. The first copy of each set is kept and is not listed, so deleting everything listed leaves exactly one of each.
Clicking Extension in the WiseReviews sidebar returned a "403 Forbidden" error instead of opening the page. It now loads normally.
Stores on the Free plan could not reach it either, because the page redirected to Plans after the first three days. The Extension page is now available on every plan.
#
Fix: the Product Reviews block installed into a narrow column
fixed
Clicking Enable app blocks in the widget installer used to drop the Product Reviews block inside your theme's product section, where it inherited that section's narrow content column and the reviews list looked cramped.
It now arrives in its own full-width section, so the reviews list uses the whole page. You can still drag it wherever you want before saving.

Email notifications for new reviews now need a paid plan
Notify via email, under Settings → Manage new reviews, is now part of the Standard and Plus plans.
On the Free plan the setting is switched off, and turning it on prompts you to upgrade. Your notification email address is kept, so upgrading turns it straight back on.
Everything else on that page (autopublish, profanity filter, blocked IP addresses, auto reply) works the same on every plan.
